Lexie Hull Reveals Major Change in Caitlin Clark as Fever Aim To End 13-Year WNBA Title Drought - NewsBreak

After going 3-0 in preseason play, Clark and company are now on a mission. They made the playoffs last season, but they have bigger goals in mind this time around.

During her rookie season, Clark set several league records, including most points and assists by a rookie, and most assists in a single season. Additionally, he won the Rookie of the Year award. Heading into 2025, she’s expected to be an MVP candidate and Indiana is expected to be a WNBA Finals contender. With a lot of pressure facing them, the Fever have an aggressive mindset.

Lexie Hull, Clark’s teammate and close friend, spoke out about the global superstar. Clark has a different mindset heading into this year than she did last season.

“[This year] there is a different aura about it,” Hull said. “She’s here and she’s ready to take care of business.”

That is a clear warning to the rest of the WNBA. Clark is on a mission and has her eyes set on a much bigger 2025 campaign both individually and as a team.

Last season, Clark played in 40 games as a rookie. She averaged 19.2 points per game to go along with 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals, while shooting 41.7% from the floor and 34.4% from 3-point distance.

WNBA’s Biggest Rivalry Moves to a Record-Breaking Stage

As a team, Indiana finished the 2024 campaign with a 20-20 record. While the team made the playoffs, it was swept quickly by the Connecticut Sun.

With the 2025 season about to get underway, Hull’s message sets the tone. Clark and company will look to start fast and not look back en route to a much improved second season with the former Iowa superstar leading the way.
